Process of order to delivery

Telephone: all deliveries made by telephone will be processed immediately, you will be provided a day and an estimated delivery time. Receipts are sent to your email.

Online: when ordering online there is a minimum processing time of 3 working days. If necessary to the delivery, we will make contact via telephone.

Delivery times

At Puckamuck our delivery drivers work Monday - Friday, 8:30- 4:30. During busy periods we can offer a delivery service on a Saturday. However, please call to discuss further as certain criteria applies.

Can you select a delivery date?

If you require a specific delivery date, you can phone us directly and we will endeavour to achieve this. It is advisable that if you require your product to be 1st delivery you allow a few weeks' notice. Due to such high demand during busy periods (August to November and January to May), this is not guaranteed.

Can you choose a delivery time?

Unfortunately, we cannot be precise when it comes to delivery times. During the confirmation of your order, you will be allocated an estimated time frame. Please be aware this is a rough estimation as we are governed by traffic, weather conditions and vehicle failures. Further from this, we will always try our best to meet your requirements.

Do you have to be present for delivery?

Domestic: It is not mandatory for you to be present at the time of your delivery, however, being available via phone call is recommended. Our reasoning for this is so that if the driver is having trouble finding your location, it can be easily and quickly resolved. If you do not wish to be present for the arrival of your Puckamuck delivery, we advise leaving a note on your order with where you would ideally like your order left to avoid complications. Please note that any goods left by our drivers when you are not present will not be our responsibility once the driver has left the premises, any form of theft or damage will now be your own responsibility.

Allotments: When ordering for delivery at allotment sites, you are required to be present in order to gain access and assist the driver with complicated dispatch conditions. This will also apply when ordering a delivery to a domestic area where the driver will require assistance with meeting your specified dispatch location.

How quickly will you receive your delivery?

We aim to get your deliveries to you within 5 working days from the point of order, however, during busy periods this may be up to 3 weeks. If you have any queries regarding your delivery please call the landline and we will be happy to help.

Allotment deliveries

The "plot drop" service: The initial delivery of bulk bags will be delivered to your site's allocated drop-off point (confirmed by your site rep). We will require a minimum of 6 bulk bags ordered before we re-visit and provide this service. It is important to note that you could wait up to 2 weeks from the point of order before your delivery is dispatched. If the minimum quantity is not met for your allotment after 2 weeks, we will contact you to discuss your options moving forward. A) We can put your order on hold until we have met the requirements. B) We can refund the additional payment for the 'plot drop' service, and deliver your bulk bag(s) to your site's allocated access point. C) Cancel and refund the entire purchase.

Delivery charges

Delivery charges are calculated based on mileage. This is done automatically, and you'll be informed of the associated delivery fees during the checkout process.

Vehicle size

General deliveries will be made using a 3.5-tonne tipper truck. This vehicle can hold up to 3 bulk bags or 60x60-litre sacks. It is important to be aware of this when placing an order with us to ensure delivery can go ahead with less perplexity.

For orders of 12 cubic metres, deliveries will be made using a tractor and trailer. Please ensure you have the appropriate ground and area. Tractor trailers weigh approximately up to 28 tonnes.

It is crucial that you take this into consideration before placing your order, as we will take no responsibility for damage caused and can refuse delivery if deemed unsafe. Please see our terms and conditions on the Sussex Manures website for more information on tractor trailer loads. All deliveries are completed by trained, competent operatives.
